Five Apartments, Five Stories – How the Apartments Got Their Names

For us, the answer was never a random name generator. Each of our five apartments in Stainz got its name for a reason — something to do with its character, its color palette, or our own history.

Johann & Anna – Where It All Began

The two apartments that give the house its name refer to Archduke Johann of Austria and Anna Plochl, the daughter of a postmaster from Aussee. Their relationship was a real social gamble at the time — two people who stayed together against considerable odds. That same persistence still shows in how the two apartments are designed today: "Johann" with classic elegance, "Anna" with a warmer, more personal touch.

Styria, Fox, Kaiserblick – Three Characters of Their Own

The "Styria" apartment brings the landscape indoors — warm, earthy tones that echo the hills around Stainz. "Fox" plays on a creature you spot around here more often than you'd think: soft browns and ochres, with a little mischief in the details. And "Kaiserblick" earns its name — dark brown tones, hunting-lodge touches, and a view that makes you want to stay.

Why It's More Than Just Decoration

A name is quick to give. A character takes longer to build. Before an apartment was ever fully furnished, we usually already knew what mood it should carry — only after that came the furniture, the colors, and the small details you'll find echoed in every room.

Maybe that's exactly the difference between a room and an apartment with a story: on your second or third visit, you're still discovering something new.
